“Living” the Eucharist with the Holy Angels

As our country celebrates the first National Eucharistic Congress in 87 years, we want to meditate on, renew and deepen our own Eucharistic spirituality with the help of the Holy Angels. In the Synod of Bishops on the Eucharist in Rome in October 2005, the Synod Fathers stated that “the Christian faithful need a fuller understanding of the relationship between the Eucharist and their daily lives. Eucharistic spirituality is not just participation in Mass and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. It embraces the whole of life” (Propositio 39).
