What personal data we collect and why we collect it

(A) Those who wish to receive our offered Meditations (Lay Circular or Crusade for Priests), fill out a form providing their full name, email address, and mailing address. This is done by active consent to take part of this offered service. Those who chose not to take part in this service, are not requested this personal information.

(B) Those who wish to sign-up for the Spiritual Adoption Program (Yearly or Permanent Enrollment), fill out a form which may ask for the following: full name, email address, mailing address, the name of their parish, the name of their diocese, the name of the priest or bishop they have selected to pray for, or if they would like to be assigned either a seminarian, priest, or bishop. This is done by active consent to take part of this offered service. Those who chose not to take part in this service, are not requested this personal information.

In each case, Opus Angelorum collects the personal information listed above only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the requested purpose. The provided information is stored on our servers to accomplish and maintain the requested service (i.e. sending Meditations for those who requested them). This information is maintained interminably. At anytime, website visitors who requested this service can later opt-out of this service and request to have their personal information removed from our servers by emailing contact@opusangelorum.org.

We do not use information submitted to us for marketing purposes.

iThemes Security

The Opus Angelorum website uses an external security plugin, iThemes Security, to protect and secure our website from malicious activity.

The IP address of visitors and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of online attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

The Opus Angelorum website is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities by the iThemes Site Scanner. We do not send personal information to the scanner; however, the scanner could find personal information posted publicly during the scan.
